Event

Self-destruct has a 1% chance of occurring after a successful Shutdown. You cannot survive self destruct by any means, even if you happen to stay in the bunker while sealed. Self destruct has 2 variants that can happen randomly.

Variant 1

Once the reactor successfully shuts down, a message plays at the top of the screen stating "ALERT: Self-Destruction sequence still in effect!". All lights turn purple.

After this, all the core's main systems except the containment shield and the core itself will turn back on, and a timer will be set. Once that timer hits zero, the purple lights turn red, and the lasers charge up and fire. The facility explodes. Then as normal, the facility regenerates.

Variant 2

Once the reactor successfully shuts down, the three screens at the front of the control room will display an alert, notifying occupants that self-destruct preparations are in progress. The preparations consist of preparing the reactor chamber (it should be noted that the reactor lighting is purple), and igniting the reactor itself. The containment field remains offline. The preparations conclude with the lasers overloading the reactor. The facility lights also turn on, but they are also purple.

During the final phase, the remaining containment consists of the auxiliary containment shield, which lasts for 80 seconds. The lights fade to red 40 seconds before detonation. Five seconds before detonation, the lasers accelerate even more, expanding the core itself. The facility explodes shortly afterward.
